Welcome.
Our lives are complex, as your therapist, it is my job to understand this complexity coupled with your psychological needs to facilitate the realization of your goals. I see my role as understanding you, your history, and your environment in a holistic way and using that knowledge to promote exploration and growth. Beyond understanding why people act the way that they do, I collaborate with you to apply that understanding to interventions that facilitate positive change.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor providing mental health care for adults with a wide range of concerns. Originally from the mid-Atlantic, I received my M.Ed. in Community Counseling from Loyola University–Chicago and my PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. I have experience with multiple treatment modalities including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, and trauma therapy. I specialize in work that promotes self-awareness and emotional resilience.
